St. Michael the Archangel
Feast Day: September 29
Patron of soldiers, doctors, mariners, police, and sickness
St. Michael isn’t the typical saint but is the leader of the angels and God’s army. His title of “Archangel” indicates that he outranks other angels. According to scripture and tradition, he is responsible for the first to combat Satan, to escort the faithful to Heaven at their hour of death, to be a champion of all Christians and the Church, and to call men from life on Earth to their heavenly judgement.
